Services
When families are in need of services, we implement an education and support program to help strengthen those families. Frequently these families are at a high risk for ineffective family management. We utilize an integrative framework that offers education programs and family counseling services that assist these families with coping with challenges they face and decreasing risk of negative outcomes.
The director, a psychiatric –mental health nurse, board certified clinical specialist, also trained as a substance abuse counselor is skilled in family therapy and has designed the program based on interventions that integrate models on family systems theory, crisis theory, developmental theory, motivational theory, change theory, psychodynamic theory, systems theory and substance abuse theory.
By Appointment Only: Monday - Friday 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Services may be delivered in the office or the home, based upon a mutually agreed-upon location.
Educational workshops and seminars will be held in a classroom setting. The goal is to increase the family’s knowledge and understanding of programs and services that can improve their lives. Workshops topics include “Community resources and how to access services, Advocating for your special needs grandchild; How to advocate to get what you need for you and your family. Other topics presented include “ Helping to Build Your Child’ s Self Esteem, Taking care of Yourself, Coping with stress and Setting Boundaries etc.
Crisis intervention with brief solutions therapy is provided as needed. The families will be screened to determine the appropriateness and eligibility for services. Eligible families will be offered education and brief family therapy as needed. Services may be delivered in the office or the home based upon mutually agreed upon location.

The process will include:

Intake and assessment to determine the needs.

Treatment planning with family to establish short- and long-term goals.

Interventions will include activities that provide individual or family counseling, case management, crisis intervention, education and training, referral, and consultation with other professionals as needed.

Evaluation and outcomes will be monitored and recorded.
Recordkeeping - all client-related data will be kept in accordance with state regulations to protect confidentiality and comply with HIPAA.
